SIGURDUR INGOLFSSON, born July 31, 1966 in Akureyri (town at the foot of the Eyjafjörður fjord, in the north of Iceland) is a poet, writer, translator and teacher.In 2000, he obtained a Doctorate in French Literature - Modern Letters / contemporary poetry from Paul Valéry University in Montpellier with very honorable mention and congratulations from the jury: Negative theology in the poetry of Yves Bonnefoy “Read the book”. He translates into Icelandic many works of poetry by Baudelaire, Prévert, Bonnefoy, Byron, Whilde, Barthes… For more than 10 years, several editions of poetry have been published for the theater or set to music: You sing with angels - My country - Awake, earth - The Cantata of the centenary of autonomy from Iceland - In the garden of words ...
